この、マスカットグリーンのコーデュロイは個人的に大好きな素材なんですが・・・

It harks back to late 1980s…

それは、1980年代まで遡ります・・・

Mr. Nakasone (I believe one of the very first vintage LEVI`S connoisseurs ) of Labrador Retriever (then-very popular select shop in Shibuya – the first Post O`Alls collaboration partner) showed me his big catch of deadstock stuff he found in Colorado…there were about 15 big boxes sitting in my friend’s office in NYC…there, I found some Muscat green corduroy LEVI’S trucker jackets…I couldn’t stop me asking him that I want one for myself, then he graciously gave it to me…that was the start of this story…

1980年代の終わり頃・・・私がまだブランドを始める前、渋谷でLabrador Retriever＝ラブラドール・リトリーバー（Post O`Allsの最初のコラボレーションはこちらでやって頂きました）という大人気店をやられていた、元Backdropの中曽根信一さん（今思えばビンテージリーバイスの最初のオーソリティの一人ではないでしょうか）に、彼がコロラドで買い付けた大量のデッドストックをニューヨークの友人の事務所で見せて頂き・・・その中にマスカット・グリーンのリーバイスのコーデュロイのGジャンが何枚かあり、お願いして譲って頂いたのが始まりなんですね・・・

I had some vintage LEVI’S corduroy jackets…but never seen one in this color…thought it was really cool…

リーバイスのコーデュロイのGジャンは若い頃から好きで古着で何枚か持っていましたが、こんな色は見たことがなく・・・なんて綺麗な色だろう、と思いました・・・

Then I hooked on Muscat green corduroy…I remember I love wearing it with some white jeans and sand color Clarks back in the days…

そんなきっかけで好きになった、マスカット・グリーン・・・当時はホワイト・ジーンズにサンドベージュのクラークス、なんていう感じで着ていた記憶があります・・・

Thus I have a soft spot for Muscat green corduroy…now looks fresh on railroad jacket format!

そんな、思い入れのあるマスカット・グリーンのコーデュロイですが・・・カバーオール型はすごく新鮮な気分なんです！
