気が付けば、年末・・・そろそろ今年リリースされた製品をじっくりと振り返ってみたい・・・なんて思っていましたが・・・

I was going to look back this year’s products one by one as this is almost year-end…

’24SSの新作が続々と上がってきて・・・

Yet…our new ‘24SS stuff started coming in…

新作をチェックしたい気持ちには勝てませんでした（笑）・・・

I couldn’t resist checking the new ones out…

’24SSで気になっていたモデルの一つが、この#1101・・・春夏用にフィットを新たに調整しましたが・・・

This #1101 is one of my concern models in ’24SS collection…as I have adjusted some new fits for Spring & Summer season…

基本というか、軸となるデニム素材のリリースは今回がかなり久々、ということもあり・・・なかなかの緊張感なんです・・・

Sort of staple denim version hasn’t been reissued for many years…I was a little nervous if new production pattern is right on…

まずは２回洗って着てみましたが・・・なかなか良さそうです！

I washed it twice and tried it on…it feels right!

この、コットン／リネンデニムのライニング付きバージョンも、個人的にけっこう気になっていました・・・

This lined cotton / linen denim version is also my concern…

ストライプを含めたこれらライニング付きのモデルは、通常の一重のモデルと比べてパッカリングが多めに出て・・・すごく往年のPost O`Allsらしい仕上がりなんですよね・・・

These lined ones include stripe fabric ones tend to produce more seam puckering…which is really Post O`Alls is once all about…

この手のモデルでは、2000年代の中頃から薄手のポプリンを２枚重ねて縫製するWシリーズがリリースされていましたが、それらもパッカリングがたくさん出るように考案されました・・・こちらが、その歴史になります。

We used to release “W” series…they were designed for maximum seam puckering presence…here’s a brief history of “W” series…

Wシリーズ・・・また出したいと思っていて、昨年あたりからタイミングを見計らい中なんです・・・

I want to reissue our signature “W” series again…have been figuring a right timing since last year…

ともあれ、気候的にはまだ表で春物は全開で着られないので・・・

Anyway, it is not warm enough to wear these Spring stuff outdoor yet…

ひとまず、家の中で着て・・・

Let me try them indoor first…

こんな感じのレイヤリングなら外出可能？・・・

Well, maybe I can go out like this kind of layering?…

ライニング付きを下に着ると、空気を含んでなかなか暖かく・・・調子も良さそうです！

Lined one worn underneath…it’s warm and feels right!

コットンヘリンボーン・・・いわゆるHBTは、戦前から値段の高めなワークウエアブランドのペインター（ペンキ屋さん）用のカバーオールやツナギ、ユニフォームなどに使われていました・・・

HBT = cotton herringbone twill = was used for painter jacket & overalls before the WW II by relatively expensive brands…

通常、ペインター用には安価なドリル・クロス（薄手の生成りコットンツイル＝日本の生地屋さんの言うスレーキ）が多く使われますが、稀にこのような生成りのヘリンボーンも使われました。

Cotton drill cloth = natural colored thinner cotton twill = was a popular fabric for painter outfit since they were inexpensive and handy…yet some manufacturer used HBT…

ブランドで言えば、例えばLee・・・Leeは戦前から、今の古着屋さんの言うリーチンと呼ばれるチンスト付きのカバーオールやUnion-Allsの古い物にもHBTを使っていました。

Say, Lee was one of them…Lee used natural colored HBT for painters’ Coverall Jacket and Coveralls with Chinstrap…and Pants and Overalls…

HBTは、そのように戦前から一部ではポピュラーな素材でしたが、第二次世界大戦時にアメリカ軍のユーティリティ系作業着に使われたのをきっかけに、戦後は多くのブランドも使うようになりました・・・

HBT was a popular choice by those manufacturers before the WW II…then the US military started using HBT during WW II for their utility garments…it became popular in work clothes after the war…

が、気が付けばフェイド・アウト・・・戦後のミリタリーっぽいトレンドは長く続きませんでした・・・

But, HBT trend didn’t last long…so did the military inspired fashion…

ドリルはドリルで大好きですが、生成りのHBTは個人的な大好物で・・・古いカバーオールで見つけたら、かなりラッキーです・・・

I love wearing cotton drill very much…yet HBT remains my personal favorite fabric for work jacket and pants…I always felt lucky whenever I found a vintage piece when I was a vintage buyer…
